Oxford Victorian Christmas Market
Four days of Victorian-themed stalls on Broad Street in mid-November — a separate, earlier event from the main Oxford market.
The dates below have been reported for this year and fit the calendar, but we have not yet been able to confirm them with the organiser or an official source. Listed for 12–15 November 2026 in the organiser's event listing; their website still shows last year's dates.
- Dates
- 12 – 15 Nov 2026
- Address
- Broad Street, Oxford
The Oxford Victorian Christmas Market is a short, themed event on Broad Street in mid-November — separate from, and earlier than, the longer Christmas in Oxford market that follows it on the same street.
The 2026 dates
The organiser’s event listing gives the 2026 market as Thursday 12 to Sunday 15 November, and those weekdays match the 2026 calendar. However, the market’s own website still shows last year’s dates and says it will “be back in 2026”, so we are treating the dates as provisional until the website is updated.
What to expect
As the name suggests, a Victorian theme: traditional stalls selling gifts, crafts and seasonal food and drink, with the costume and period atmosphere that suit a street lined with historic college buildings. Because it is only four days long and comes early in the season, it is a good chance to get some Christmas shopping done before the December crowds.
How it fits with the main market
Broad Street hosts two separate events in 2026: this short Victorian market in mid-November, and then Christmas in Oxford from late November to the end of December. If you are planning a trip specifically for one of them, check which is on when you visit.
Getting there
Oxford station is about fifteen minutes’ walk from Broad Street. Use the park and ride if you are driving — central Oxford is not car-friendly.
Make a day of it
The Bodleian Library, the Sheldonian Theatre and the Radcliffe Camera are all a couple of minutes from Broad Street, and the Covered Market on the High Street is good for lunch.
Whatever the dates turn out to be, dress for standing still outdoors in the cold — see our guide to what to wear to a Christmas market.
