Plymouth Christmas Market

Chalets along Armada Way in Plymouth city centre — 2026 dates not yet announced; the widely quoted dates are 2025's.

Dates to be announced

The organiser has not yet confirmed this year's dates, and the dates circulating online are either estimates or carried over from a previous year — so we are not publishing them as fact. The dates circulating online (27 November–21 December) come from Visit Plymouth's October 2025 announcement — last year's market.

Last checked 3 October 2026. We are watching for the official announcement and will update this page. How we check

Address
Armada Way, Plymouth

Plymouth’s Christmas market lines Armada Way, the broad pedestrian boulevard that runs through the rebuilt city centre down towards the Hoe. In recent years it has brought up to sixty wooden chalets of crafts, gifts and street food into the heart of the city.

Why there are no dates here yet

You will see Plymouth’s market listed online as running from 27 November to 21 December. Those dates come from Visit Plymouth’s announcement published in October 2025 — they describe last year’s market, not this year’s. No 2026 dates have been published yet, so we are not listing any.

What to expect

Based on recent years: wooden chalets with artisan crafts, gifts and international street food — French crêpes, Dutch pancakes and German bratwurst have all featured — with free entry.

Getting there

Plymouth station is at the top of Armada Way, around fifteen minutes’ walk from the market’s southern end, with direct trains from London Paddington, Bristol and Exeter.

Make a day of it

Plymouth Hoe, with its views over the Sound and Smeaton’s Tower, is at the bottom of Armada Way. The Barbican — the old harbour quarter where the Mayflower set sail in 1620 — has cobbled streets, galleries and seafood restaurants, and The Box museum is right in the centre.

When will we know?

We are checking the official source weekly and will update this page the day the dates are confirmed. In the meantime, our What’s open? tool shows the markets that have confirmed dates for any day you’re travelling.

When the dates are confirmed, dress for standing still outdoors in the cold — see our guide to what to wear.
